Default Nittany Frost cross almost fully opened

This part of the story is almost done; but I have a number of anceps that are about to open or not even terribly close to opening, so I'll have more

Default Laelia anceps v. guerrero 'Blumen Insel' x 'Irwins' AM/RHS

The difference between this and Mendenhall is pretty subtle IMHO. If you look back in this thread you'll see Mendenhall...I had to look a few times to pick out differences. Still just opening, everything is late this year after such a winter

Default Laelia canariensis

Bought this in spike (4 spikes) in September, so I don't get total credit, but I shepherded it through a pretty tough winter with all 4 spikes intact. That weird "jumping off the page" thing isn't a result of me messing with the photo - must have something to do with the yellow color and the background.

The canariensis went from a canary yellow color to what you see in photos of this plant's flower, where the petals have a peach/salmon tone underlying the yellow. Very happy about that, but it doesn't come across in photos.

Here's a better image, all opened on this spike (it has two more unopened smaller spikes)

Default Lineata

The anceps season is going on and on this year. I'm sure I will have some blooms in June.

Anyway, this one is awesome:
