Blooming out now in my greenhouse this uncommon variety carnea of Laelia crispa. So delicate color in the lip makes it a precious acquisition. I posted it side by side with the type for comparison.

Mauro, I really like those crispas. Do you know if they cross well?? Off the top of my head I cant think of any hybrids containing crispa.
To my knowledge yes, Steve, they breed well. I recently saw a hybrid of L. crispa and L. alaorii that was very pretty. But, yes, it is not used many times in hybridization. Maybe due to the petals that have the tendency of folding back.
