Lc. Purple Cascade 'Fragrant Beauty'
Hi all,
This is Lc. Purple Cascade 'Fragrant Beauty'. I got this one many years ago when I first started collecting orchids. There were a few years at first when it did not bloom. Then one year it put out about 28 blooms. Since then it has been blooming reliably but with fewer and fewer spikes. This year it produced only two spikes. It might be worth noting that I did re-pot it last year into a large s/h container. Maybe it's still sulking???? Anyway, it's still beautiful and smells great. 5 flowers on two spikes.

How are you fertilizing? The year it bloomed so well - were the fertilizer, light or temperature different?

Light and temp should be the same. I don't know if I fertilized or not in the past as often as I do now. Now I am trying to fertilize every time I remember or once a week, weakly. The problem for me with weakly weekly is that I forget to water sometimes, and then I water quickly and don't have the time to just add the fert.
But I'm glad you are thinking it's a fertilizing issue. That's something I can fix.
