Laelia canariensis, dry rest?
I have recently acquired a nice-sized 'Golden Glow' variety of this plant.
Given that it is half L anceps, should I let it dry out in winter? My current approach to anceps and AU dendrobiums is to leave them mostly dry for four months, Nov-Feb.

Estacion seca has stated, I think, they are bone dry in the winter, in situ. Or was that someone else talking about the AU dens?
Having said that, I was thinking of dousing them with water - one pour through - per month.
I met a guy here in the SF Bay Area at a society show who had a specimen-sized Laelia Santa Barbara Sunset 'Showtime', tens of spikes and hundreds of blooms. His lives in a greenhouse and gets watered weekly regardless of season.
However, mine will be getting pretty cold though I hope to prevent last year's freeze catastrophe.

I wrote Laelia anceps gets no water in winter, and little to no dew. It grows on the branches of evergreen oaks.
I have not seen what I knew to be L. harpophylla in Minas Gerais but I did see habitat similar to where L. h. is supposed to grow. It also gets no winter water. The laelias I saw grew on flat rocks raised a little above the surrounding sandy plain that accumulate a little sand and leaf litter. The plants received full sun in the winter.
I haven't seen any Australian Dendrobiums in habitat. My little hybrid from Sunset Valley Orchids grew through last winter so I kept watering it.
Many hybrids are more tolerant of varying conditions than are their parents.
