Awesome, especially the first one. Next time tell them the show is week earlier.

I like the ports best too.( got this piece from silken about a year or so ) Thanks silken
As to having the Show a week earlier.....some of mine finish blooming a week before the Show too I have a feeling they don't want to go out in the rain when going to the Show

Orchids are rather clever. I have belonged to an Orchid Society for a few years, now, and, in that time, I have never had anything to add to our OS display. Ever.
Our Society's show is the first weekend in March and when I first joined, I had two orchids that, for many, many years, could absolutely be depended upon to be in bloom at that time. So, the year after I joined the Orchid Society, both of these bloomed in April and, then always bloomed after the show season was finished. These orchids started a long tradition that all of my other orchids also follow. I have orchids that bloom at that time of year, just not during the time when we have shows in this area to which our OS sends displays. Say what you will, my orchids are a rebellious bunch.

I thought I had it bad. Mine like to begin their bloom when I am away for a few days. Really hurts when the blooms don't last long.

That isn't fun, either. Sometimes I miss the Lepanthes blooming and find the spent blossom after.

Oh gee
I was lucky a couple of years to have some entered
But since then....nothing...your Orchids must be related to mine

Lovely blooms Monika. Thankfully we have Orchid Board to show them off to. Mine are as fickle as yours. always too early or too late or not in their prime when a show is happening.
