What a gorgeous, crisp, ruffled lip! The colors are just smashing!
I really enjoy hearing descriptions of an orchid's fragrance! Bleach! I happen to like the smell of bleach (from a bit of distance) but I bet they didn't mention that in the catalog. Fragrant? Yes or No. LOLOL

Well observed, Gwen! That's exactly it, they only say that it's frangrant but...silence about the quality of the fragrance !

Wow, that is really cool. I really like it.
As for the one that smells like bleach, I wonder what the evolutionary advantage of that would be? Attract a neat/clean freak pollinator??

Very nice and pretty Rosim. I have also one, but it never flowered because I cannot provide it enough light...I am living in Belgium. This year I will try to put it in full sun.
An other question: has this species the same growing cycle as laelia tenebrosa - pseudobulb production during the summer, spath development during autumn, a semi resting period in winter and flower development in the spath at the beginning spring and flowering end of the spring beginning summer (this what I have observed in Belgium)?

Pretty much the same, Intruder, but shifting the blooming time a month or two towards the mid-summer.
