Encyclia garciana
I bought this plant off Ebay with lots of new growth. No spikes or buds. I got it in August and now I have 2 blooms. I am so happy. It is such a cute plant.

Love this species, stays small, right? You grow it outside up there? or on a windowsill? I've been wanting it but keep thinking from research on it that it needs a greenhouse...

I was growing this inside by a window with extra light t5. Temps 66-70s now that it is fall. During the summer temps were 70-80s. Humidity in the 30% to 40% . It gets alot of light because of the extra lighting. It is a very small plant. It has been growing like a weed since I got it. I let it dry out and it likes that. When i say dry out I mean bone dry.
When i was looking into them I read they like it on the cool side and my house and climate is on the cool side so I have had good luck so far.

Beautiful flower! Just because I was curious, I went and checked, and this species is now Prosthechea garciana.
