Shoddily labelled hybrid

Picked this up with the label "Rubenses x popcorn confetti"<br />

I'm assuming that "Rubenses" is L. Rubescens, but I can't find any reference to a "popcorn confetti" anywhere. Any suggestions? <br />

The white and yellow really resembles popcorns.
Probably they smell it too.

I can't help you on your question but they are beautiful flowers.

The Royal Horticultural Society orchid registry does list a Cattleya hybrid (grex) called Popcorn.

Maybe 'Confetti' is a clonal name? Speculation on my part, though.

Cattleya Popcorn is (intermedia x loddigesii) x loddigesii. This does have the look of a loddigesii hybrid. The flower, spikes and plant all look appropriate for a Laelia rubescens hybrid as well. So it may be L. rubescens x C. Popcorn 'Confetti' or possibly (L. rubescens x C. Popcorn) 'Confetti'. That is just speculation though unless the tag can be clarified, or there is evidence someone actually made such a cross.
