This was suppose to be a regular one but bloomed out an alba. oops. Then vendor tells me it was a range of colors in stock. Didn't offer to replace or anything and decided it's been part of the family for a while so why try to replace...

In truth this photo is probably more interesting than the flower itself, but it's an eager bloomer and blooms for months and months. I thad maybe 3-4 flowers last year, and this year, after repeat blooming, maybe 8 or so... It probably started in april, and stopped a couple months ago. (I took this shot a while back) with the photography, aim here is to capture the papery texture of the flower, and it's slight translucence.

It get full sun for probably 6 hours, and the plant looks definitely a bit bleached, has slight spottage, but otherwise a happy plant. I got it for it's toughness with heat and "drought". It is a warmer grower and I take it in in the winter. grows through winter with 60 lows at windowsill. has 3 new growths this year!

Very cool. I have two, a yellow and a pink. Broughtonia sanguinea is a cool little plant. I need an alba as well. Where did you get yours?

I was just thinking of ordering a seedling from Olympic Orchids, which has them.

Thanks guys! I got it from Andy's, but again they're all mixed so you won't know what you'll get... although I guess when they're blooming you could request alba... yeah, if I see them I'd probably get a yellow and purple myself as they grow so easy for me...
