Ett. Hsiang Yu Gold Coast 'Sunkiss'
I haven't mentioned a thing about the buds that have been developing on this guy. I was a afraid of jinxing it after I shared photos of other plant's buds and they all blasted or came out poorly.
However, this one has started to open, so I feel pretty confident!
The flowers are small, which I really like - so different from the 'typical' catt.
I hope as the flowers mature that the red becomes more vibrant like it is in the pictures I have seen. Also, it's suppose to be fragrant - I haven't detected a scent but the first flower just popped yesterday and still looks like it needs to open more, so maybe then.
It has seven total buds, with three starting to open. I will post updated pictures once everyone is fully open.

Lovely exotic blooms....the fragrance will manifest if you have high humidity or better yet some flowers give off fragrance either at night or early morning....

Thank you!
I honestly don't know the humidity - this guy has been growing outside all summer. I've checked early morning now and dusk with no scent yet. I'll be patient and, even if there's none, I still love the contrast of yellow and red on these guys. I'm pretty happy overall

13 months later :D
I think I had five or six blooms the first time. This time I have 19!
It is lightly fragrant this time but I have to put my nose in it. I have not tried smelling it in the early morning or when it's getting direct sunlight.

That is stunning, and a huge improvement on last year's display. It looks like It is on fire.
