Default What's this on my leaf?

Should I be worried about these spots on my C. dowiana? It seems perfectly fine, growing new roots and even has one and possibly two new growths coming. i don't have this kind of spotting on any of my other catts.

First two photos of are of the front and back of the leaf and the third photo is of the rest of the plant. The plant is not quite this yellow, but it is lighter than the rest of my catts. Am I giving it too much light?

It's not a light issue. It's bacterial, or fungal, IMO.

You may want to wait for a few more growers to chime in.

If it were mine, I'd use a razor to cut off the affected part, far enough back from it that you're in purely healthy green leaf, and apply cinnamon to the cut end of the leaf.

Just in case, I've cut off the black area. I don't know exactly what it is. The black spots on the front of the leaf are like freckles, and the underside of the leaf, it looks like leaf-tip burn. I'm super paranoid about this plant because I know how susceptible to rot C. dowiana is. I should get a few more dowianas just to make sure one will eventually make it and bloom (yes, that is sound logic).

I tend to be relaxed about this sort of thing. Leave it be for a few days and see if it spreads. This could be caused by too much light, Calcium/mg deficiency, fungus or bacteria, temperature too high etc..

Do some trouble shooting: measure the light, check nutrient ph/ ph from pot runoff ( do this when dry and time to fertilize). Look for bugs also. If you want to be safe you could spray the plant with neem oil solution to prevent further damage. Be sure to follow the directions on the neem bottle though.

Forgot to say that if it spreads you should cut off the affected area for sure. Don't panic yet though I have plenty of benign marks on my plants.
