This intermedia is a mixed up pup blooming after an extended fall season that saw very warm temps. Another spike should open soon.
I normally don't care for this species but absolutely fell in love with the color after smweaver posted his blooms in this
thread. Steve was kind enough to send me a division and I absolutely love this plant!! Its probably the fastest growing orchid I've ever owned too!
This plant normally shows solid white flowers with just a red 'mosca' spot on the lip. I left it outside in full sun during our first cold snap (down to freezing) as an experiment so the cool temps and bright light would enhance any hidden colors. I was not expecting a light pink blush on the lip or bold lavender at the tepal bases.
