Cattleya aclandiae coerulea x leopoldii
I've had this since 2012, but it didn't bloom last year. Last year just before I had my son we decided to move. In my pregnancy fog I accidentally let it get really sunburned in its new window. And then when I discovered the sunburn, I accidentally watered it heavily with near boiling water out of the tap (I wasn't used to the new faucet). I didn't think it would ever forgive me, but a little over a year later it rewarded me with two blooms.
Its pretty fragrant! The blooms look way different than they did last time it bloomed, I will try to dig one of the pics up.

Very nice. I love the spotted ones. Your cross has a registered name. It is C. Lacey Michelle Matherne

That is a pretty one! I love C. aclandiae and have noticed that many of the hybrids are also really nice. I am glad that you have it still and are able to enjoy the flowers! Congratulations!
Little ones keep parents really busy but they are infinitely precious.

Woah I have this same hybrid and I sunburned the back out of mine too! It was one of my first cattleya, I got it in 2014 and it hasn't bloomed yet but it has a sheath and I can see at least one bud now. Hope mine looks as good as yours.
