Default Encyclea Profusa

My Encyclea Profusa is in bloom for the past 3 weeks with
2 spikes and two bulbs do not know whether the plant would survive or not.
can some one tell me how to grow this plant?

That's a beauty. I believe there like a Cattleya the culture I mean. But I have never grown one.

The genus is spelled Encyclia. Many are native to the Caribbean basin, so this should grow very well for you. This one comes from Colómbia.

I have other Encyclias, but not this one. They grow like Cattleyas, and they very definitely should not stay wet. If it rains a lot where you live, they need a very loose medium, like large chunks of rock or bark, or growing on a mount.

Plants I've bought from Florida in pots come in medium too loose and fast-drying for my conditions, so I move them to something else. The best growth for me comes on the mounted plants. I can water the mounts every day.

Keep giving it more light until the leaves and new growth blush red or purple. Don't move it suddenly, or it might burn.
