Iwanagaara Apple Blossom - Orchid Board

This is one of my two Iwanagaara Apple Blossom. The other one has two spikes just starting. Oddly enough the two plants look somewhat different, so it will be interesting to see how the two flowers compare. This one I bought at an orchid show, the second was purchased at a local greenhouse off of their clearance rack. (Its tough to pass up cheap orchids, even if they are a dup)

Bill, what a nice color! My Iwan Apple Blossum is blooming now, too. It has solid yellow flowers that are on very long stems. It has 7-8 blooms/buds on each stem (4 stems). Does your second plant have the same colored flowers? Beautiful plants!

I'm not sure what color the other one is yet. It was not in bloom when I purchased it only a month ago. I was a bit shocked when it show up with spikes less than a month after getting it on the cheap. I'm sure the nursery would have not let it go for that price if they know it was going to bloom again so soon. When it does bloom I'll post a picture of it on this thread but that is weeks away.

Very nice. I like both color variations. A friend of mine just gave me a division from her plant. It's the same as the one you have blooming Bill. It's only 2 p-bulbs so it will probably not bloom until next year.
