Blc. Keowee 'Mendenhall' AM/AOS
Young plant yet, with 2 leads/spikes totaling 4 flowers. It'll get bigger and better. Not fragrant that I've detected, I haven't been trying at different times. It fell on the ground before the flowers opened and I was out of town for a few days, so they're positioned wonky. I've always loved the lip and colors on this one and it's a good sized flower with several of them for the size of the plant.
Someday I hope to find some of the other similar nodosa hybrids, such as Blc. Apache Sunrise and Blc. Billy.
Do you have a Keowee, this cultivar or another? Show it here!

I can't believe I just bought one of these this morning at the Daifukuji Orchid Society show! It only has one flower - yours is gorgeous - I had never seen one before but I saw this one hiding amongst the other flowers and snatched it up before anyone else. It was the only one for sale. I love the veining in the lip, reminiscent of dowiana.
I also scored a Dyakia hendersoniana 'Kelsie & Ryan' CCE/AOS, Blc Cornerstone x (Makaha Gold x C. walkeriana) "Yellow Lip', Pot. Hawaiian Thrill 'Paradise', and Lc Green Veil "Dressy'. A very good haul for the morning!
