My seedling of this cross seems to be a mutant, but I still love its vigor as well as how often it blooms.

Height: 8''
Scent: Surprisingly offensive, like musky mothballs.
Bloom season: Every new growth
Bloom size: 4-5 inches....very poor form, but interesting shape nonetheless.

Your Lc. is rather cute. There is nothing wrong with admiring something unique. I add orchids to my collection based on how I feel about them, not because they are admired by others. As a result, I have a bunch of orchids that I truly enjoy. My Lepanthes gargoyla makes me happy but I doubt many others would admire it.

Its deformity makes it very neat- I like it!
Of course, I don't show either, but it's still neat.

Thanks everyone for the posts! I agree about collecting for yourself rather than the oppressive, monotonous standards of orchid judges. Overall the novelty of the blooms really does bring me joy and the funky scent is a great talking point when I am forcing my roommates to smell my plants.

I always bring a sweet smelling phal violacea first then I show them this one the reaction is always hilarious!
