Dialc hybrid? Male
Default Dialc hybrid?

Browsing through a fair last Saturday and found this one

At first I couldn't figure out what kind of orchid is it. Looked kind like Spathoglottis and dendrobium mixed into one. I finally asked the Vendor and he said it was a Cattleya alliance hybrid. So curiosity caught the best of me and I bought it.

whole plant. Based on my research, it might be a Diacrium/ Dialc hybrid. If anyone have any idea about its identity, your help is greatly appreciated.

By the way, it was already starred as a table decor. One of my neighbor borrowed it for a gathering

You have a good eye. This is probably Williamcookara (Wlc.) Tropical Snowflake.

Diacrium is called Caularthron now, so the Dia... names are gone. The species background of this hybrid is (Caularthron bicornutum x Laelia albida) x (Cattleya bicolor x Broughtonia sanguinea).

That's Caulaelia Snowflake x Cattleytonia Keith Roth.

There are some similar hybrids, so no ID of an unknown is ever absolute.
