Cattleya Lawre -Mossiae var coerulea '
This a beautiful first bloom primary hybrid using good select parent. The lawernceana dominates the tubular lip with deep blue lavender around outside edge of lip (orlata); the narrow twisted (a trait of mossiaes) tepals are a pale light bluish lavender, down swept. Flowers are large at 16 cm on a disproportionately small compact plant, which is the size of a large minicatt. The contrast in size of flower compared to plant is almost spectacular, possibly inheriting small PB from lawrenana and large droopy flowers from mossae.
