Lc Santa Barbara Sunset 'Showtime' in bloom
I received this as a gift from another OB member (thanks, Becky!) a few years (6 ?) ago, still a seedling. It's now blooming for the first time. It quite possibly was big enough to bloom a year or two ago (it did get a couple of non-productive sheaths last year), but perhaps wasn't happy enough, tho it has been growing well.
There were 7 spikes, but something ate the bud/s off of one, but I'm quite happy with 6! 
It's not actually growing in a box - it's overgrown its pot, and I set it into the box to keep it from toppling over 
It IS growing in coconut husk chips mix in a clay pot.
