Cattleya schroderae
Native to Colombia, and highly fragrant.

Thanks, everyone, for your comments.
The flowers are a light shell-pink color. I couldn't get the colors right with the camera (kept washing out the pink).

Me too! The color is sublime.
Steve, that's a top notch schoderae! WooooHooo! Mine is ending a great season, 22 flowers, a new record and glad I didn't divide it up (even though it has a sideways growth habit - it's crawling down the sides of a 10" clay pot).

Wondrous blooms! I like the subtle glimpse of pink blush on flowers. I hope my three schroderaes that have buds are as nicely shaped as yours Steve! What's the size of the blooms?

Leslie, the blooms are approximately four inches across (that is, if I don't "cheat" and stretch the petals)
Thanks, Kevin! With 22 blooms your plant must have smelled fantastic. Although my plant hasn't strayed out of the pot yet, it's a bit of an unruly grower. The growths are sturdy, but they seem to have a tendency to grow more horizontally than vertically. I'm trying to train them with a ring stake, but I should probably just resign myself to way the plant appears to want to grow. Now that I know from your experience that this species is capable of producing so many blooms, I will avoid dividing it.
