Leslie, the blooms are approximately four inches across (that is, if I don't "cheat" and stretch the petals)

Thanks, Kevin! With 22 blooms your plant must have smelled fantastic. Although my plant hasn't strayed out of the pot yet, it's a bit of an unruly grower. The growths are sturdy, but they seem to have a tendency to grow more horizontally than vertically. I'm trying to train them with a ring stake, but I should probably just resign myself to way the plant appears to want to grow. Now that I know from your experience that this species is capable of producing so many blooms, I will avoid dividing it.

Very respectable size! What would you describe the fragrance as?

The scent, to my nose, is almost like cotton candy. It's sort of like the scent of Cattleya mossiae's blooms: strong and a little overpowering when you're close to the flowers, but really good from a distance of two to several feet away.

Mine just opened so it's not so overpowering yet. It does have that cotton candy smell though!
