Default C. mossiae, finally first bloom!

I got this plant as a 'large seedling' in Feb. 2011 and I finally have a first bloom! Last year 2 growths put out sheaths but they were empty. This winter, 3 newly matured growths each put out a spike without sheaths. 1 spike with 2 small buds blasted, don't know why. The other spike that hasn't bloomed yet has 2 buds that are somewhat behind this one. The bloom is a good 7 inches wide and is just developing a nice scent. Could have been a great show had all 5 buds co-operated. But it seems to rarely happen. I am just glad to finally see it bloom and am pleased with the flower.

Thanks everyone.

I hope the two buds develop fast enough for the upcoming orchid show in Edmonton, but I don't think they will.
