Thanks! For a first bloom I am very pleased with the shape, size, colour and now it is very nicely scented as well.

C. mossiae, finally first bloom!

Too bad about the other buds but at least you got one bloom to show you the actual flower and the potential in the future! The color is nice and the lip nicely striated. The shape also is good, with upright dorsal sepal and petals that hold up horizontally well!

I've had many buds blasting this year too. However I look at it as the plant gathering strength to bloom better next year.

Thanks. For a first bloom I am pleased. And yes, finally glad to see what I even had. There are 2 other buds still growing. Had they bloomed in time it would have been nice to send to the orchid show in 10 days time. But my plants have a habit of not co-operating for shows. I guess they are a bit shy
