I don't have any advice or leads, but good luck finding one that you like. I'm sorry you had that experience. I would be so upset as well.

If you might want to practice a little before going all the way, SVO has tetraploid seedlings of Sl (or Lc) Minpet, which is (pumila x coccinea) x coccinea. In the mini catts section. When you have that mastered you can try the harder one.

New World Orchids. Kristen almost always has some very nice coccineas. Including the yellow! She also usually carries some of the oddball varieties of coccinea...not cheap but they aren't easy to find or get.

Various sources:

Sophronitis coccinea 4N (LARGE) - New World Orchids

https://www.orchidweb.com/products/s...a-4n-~178.html Out of stock now, you can ask when it will be back in stock.

Now in Compot Sophronitis Cattleya Coccinea Orchid Zone | eBay Ebay listing; caveat emptor, I know nothing about the seller.

While looking for Sophronitis coccinea, be sure to also look for Cattleya coccinea (the names are synonyms: whichever is correct depends on who you believe/what is scientifically accepted)

Added later: DOH!! Not sure how I missed the above post, but glad you found your plant.
