At least it doesn't smell like a Bulbophyllum.

A couple name issues. Rlc. Memoria Crispin Rosales. That's the simple one.

There were 2 Catt hybrids registered as Irene Finney, Lc. Irene Finney in 1964 and C. Irene Finney in 1969. But neither has any Rhycholaelia/Brassavola ancestry so Rlc. isn't correct either way. Both are just Cattleya now, so C. Irene Finney (1964) and C. Irene Finney (1969) are their current designations.

I would assume it was Lc. Irene Finney that was used here. Lc. would morph to Rlc. more easily, and C. (Lc.) Irene Finney (1964) x Rlc. Memoria Crispin Rosales is a registered hybrid, making your plant (probably) Rlc. Gary Sheldon.
Thank you for all the background info and the name, I really enjoyed reading your comment. I did know that everything was lumped into Cattleya, but I tend not to change the name on the tags because I find it tedious, but I do make note of it (in my mind).

This is a recent division and acquisition. I have a friend that purchases wholesale and one of the growers has a budded plant special, but he gets to pick the plant. I definitely would not have chosen this plant, but my downfall is I love surprises. Unfortunately, everytime I buy grab bag type items it's a miss, except for Michael's $2 grab bags.

I really like the lip too, but the rest of the flower is not as appealing to me including the shape. I will probably sell it to make room for something I love because orchids I don't love tend to suffer from neglect.

I think the lip is lovely also. To bad it wouldn't flatten out a bit.

I definitely agree with you on all accounts. Luckily, someone who loves it much more than me is going to purchase it from me because I don't have the patience to wait to see if maybe I may like it better in a few years.
