Default Enc. cordigera 'Rosea' fragrant?

I saw a Encyclia cordigera var Rosea at my local nursery and I fell in love with the fat round pseudobulbs. It was in spike (not yet blooming), but I read online that they should be fragrant too, which sealed the deal for me!

Finally two of the blooms have opened and they are beautiful -- very dark sepals and round saturated pink/purple lip. (Looks like maybe six or seven more buds to go.) But sadly I'm not detecting any fragrance. I've checked in the early morning, late afternoon, and evening/night. I'm at work during the day. I'll be home during the weekend.

Anybody have experience with this orchid? Does the fragrance develop later? Or am I just out of luck on that dimension.
