NOID Cattleya pink explosion.
Just wanted to share this! My very first Cattleya rebloom. She smells like roses and lemons in the day time.
Happy Valentines weekend!

Thanks so much! I absolutely love her. When I bought it there were only 4 flowers. 8 new growths and almost 20 blooms later hehehehe.

That is quite an impressive show on a well grown plant. I would advise you to keep it well away from any other orchids though, and anything you might carry from one plant to another. The flowers do show pretty strong evidence of a viral infection.

Here is a page about virus in catts.

There is no cure or treatment. It is hard to tell in the picture but if you did see color breaks in the blooms then you most likely do have a virus. This virus can be passed to your other plants.

It is such a vigorous grower and my very first Cattleya, so I will do what I can. I do have a limited growing space so I am going to have to consider my options...

It is lovely, but I too was noticing the colour break and thinking virus. Great growing on it!

What a beauty! It's always great to see our hard work pay off with our plant friends. Thank you for sharing.
