Definitely a Cattleya hybrid. The flower resembles C. walkeriana more than any other species, but it is in there as a parent or grandparent of this plant, not this plant itself. With the crowded flowers and no good view of the plant it is difficult to even speculate. It could be something like C. Walkerinter (walkeriana x intermedia) but that is just the simplest representative of the type. There are many other hybrids of similar appearance. How big are the flowers?
Awesome, thanks for the information. I realize in hindsight it would have been helpful to include a picture of the plant. The flowers are about the size of a lemon

That's within the normal size range for a C. Walkerinter type hybrid, but over 1000 registered hybrids share that ancestry, just to start. Doesn't narrow it down much.
