Default Cattleya Carl Hausermann
We have had this one since 2007 and it had never bloomed until now. It had been potted in fir bark and was not doing good, so we mounted it on a hard sandstone slab with some moss last year. And it decided to bloom for us this year

Lovely! Congratulations!
I cannot grow anything in fir bark. I think my home is just too cool in the winter and, in the summer, outside, Ohio is just too rainy.

The flower is about 5+ inches and has a light scent.
