For a 'species', it's almost as beautiful as any hybrid. I can imagine what it can do as a specimen!

Stunning blooms. And while (as one other member commented) this is much earlier than any C. mossiae blooms, I do have a couple of lueddemannianas that are in flower right now. So even if it's a hybrid, it's one heck of beauty and looks like it's inherited the best traits of both parents. Enjoy your flowers. They're really quite lovely.

Thanks all. The color does pop out in sunlight. And as smweaver said it nicely, hybrid or not, it's 'one heck of a beauty'!
