Apparently it's a division of the original awarded mossiae 'Willowbrook', which has been mericloned as well.

Just took a few more pics in afternoon sun. Colors look much richer in red purple and brighter.

There's also a sweet fragrance reminiscent of sugar and lily of valley. Didn't notice that before. Perhaps the sunshine brought it out more.

Thanks all!

During AOS judging, we sometimes bring the plants into sunlight to see the 'true' color and the nuances of the combinations. As a student judge, I learn to appreciate color changes under different lighting. Quite interesting!

The growth pattern seems to follow that of the mossiae except that it blooms 2-3 months before the earliest mossiaes, making the dubious identity even more disconcerning.
