This seedling is the result of a cross between 2 very nice semi-albas of the species. As you can see, it has turned out to be more of a coerulea. It's hanging a little heavy here in the pic because it has been monsoon weather here for the last few days. My orchids all grow outdoors.
Interesting that semi-albas produced a lavender blue flower. Goes to show that you really need to know the parentage 2-3 generations back to breed certain types. Do you know what the two semi-alba parents' clonal names were?

Yes, the parents are 'Sucre' and 'Sonia'. Though unexpected, the more I look at this color the more I like it. Actually, I'm liking it alot!
