Brassavola Little Stars (Cordata ' Hihimanu' x Nodosa'Mas Major')
Brassavola Little Stars (Cordata ' Hihimanu' x Nodosa'Mas Major').
Not bad for a first bloom under my care. I picked this up several years ago at Home Depot. It was in a 2" pot and had maybe 5 growths. I repotted it to larger pot where it proceeded to sulk for a couple years. I finally got up the courage to try mounting it. It has rewarded me tremendously this year!

What a wonderful show of flowers! It must smell heavenly at night! I know I am looking forward to mine blooming.
I really like your mount, too. Nice job!

It has been wonderful! I am moving it to my bedroom tonight so I can enjoy it all night. It may get too strong; tonight is a test run!

Very nice, good growing! I bought one of those from Lowes a few years ago, was my first orchid that I ever got to bloom. I had it in a pot and moved it to a mount a year ago and mine definitely likes being mounted much better also. Mine is spiking right now, can't wait to smell that delicious fragrance again.

well done. That is one wonderful looking mount. A Den of some sort on the other side? It has so many blooms for a first time bloomer.
My nodosa is going to bloom for the first time but only on 2 growths. I'm still very stocked.

I am super happy with the fragrance, especially after moving it to my bedroom. It is wonderful to drift off to sleep surrounded by such an amazing scent. It is the ultimate in Aromatherapy! Now, all I need is a masseur. Oh wait, I have one of those - my hubby!

Yes, it is a 20 (plus) year old NOID Dendrobium. It also loved the change of being mounted. The mount itself was from my daughter's snake cage. She married and moved to a smaller place so the aquarium stayed behind. Future terrarium? Lol I actually have a curved front candy case that I dream of converting into a terrarium someday; that should be a different thread though.
