Thank you so much for the detailed reply. So you suggest that I should mount the orchid rather than keeping it potted? I can add some sphagnum moss to the roots as watering more than once a day isn't feasible for me... Will that work better than the present condition?

Hmmm... In a difficult climate, this plant is easy to rot if it's kept too wet, but it also dries out easily if it's kept too dry. Plus your plant was just shipped and is suffering a little. I know people here in metro Phoenix who grow them potted, but they have greenhouses that raise the humidity.

It will depend on whether you tend to give your plants too much water or not enough. I chose to grow mine as though mounted. If I could only water once per day during warm weather, I would soak it overnight every week or so.
