OrchidWiz uses Baker's culture notes for species. It says guttata needs 3500 to 4000 FC of light and that they require nearly full sun year round and good moving air. Noon time sun may need some shading. Winter is brighter than summer. Their temps are cooler in winter 76-77F in the day and 57 to 59 at night and they do require a somewhat dry winter rest. But would get some moisture in nature from dew. So not to let them shrivel. Less water if they are kept cool helps prevent root rot anyways.
