I will keep you posted. We are due for lots of rain the next few days here in North Carolina, lows in the 60's. BUT after that I'm concerned about lower temps and the bud has a ways to go AND will develop slower due to lower temps. I will likely have to relocate it to my garage grotto with lower light but higher temps.
Any advice?

Keep it where its at for as long as possible. You can bring it inside at night and throw it back outside each morning if need be. I bet you've got at least a few weeks of warm weather left.
Very good news. Let's cross fingers to reach the full flowering and as said above let it flower quietly where it is before enjoying in the house. I find Cattleyas very sensitive.
