Bc Little Mermaid 'Janet'
this is one them plants that hits or misses. Small hit this time the last ones just looked orrible for some reason and these do look much better. This plant was on the remove list and it wasnt blooming. Good thing for it it bloomed
its smells wonderful, just an incredible intoxicating fragrance.
Its getting too big for my little greenhouse. Going to have to cull the larger plants out and make room for some smaller versions. I could just cut it up if it continues to give me some flowers even if not perfect.
I would keep it just for the smell alone.
Thanks for peeking at my flowers!!!

This is one of my favorites for its coloring and fragrance. Mine grew too big for my space also so I divided it, giving the large piece to a friend and keeping the smallest division. Of course, the one I gave away continued to bloom while mine languished for nearly two years. Then, just yesterday, I noticed a bulge in a sheath.

If I could make some scented perfume like some of these orchids I could get rich!!!
Thanks and ya this one is about to get cut up. I have another Bc that filled the pot and never bloomed for me again . I chopped it up and made 6 plants in 4 inch pots and 3 now with sheathed buds.. go figure that some just dont like to be specimen sized for very long.

What's up with the color break of the flower in the second picture?

Not only did it bloom, it really bloomed!
Hopefully, the color break has a valid explanation that doesn't include the V-word. I posted a Cattleya picture I had taken after a rainstorm and I didn't realize that with less pixels, you could not tell that the orchid was wet and it looked like color break. Opps.
