Amazing color. I have always loved C. violacea but not been able to keep them alive, until recently (shh, don't say it too load!). I have a plant from Peruflora and it is sending up a new growth, so things are looking up.

This species is a little less tolerant indoor conditions as its one of the few Laeliinae from the Amazon. It prefers fairly uniform conditions (high light, high humidity, high temp) all year round and needs to have plenty of moisture around the roots but can't stay wet for long. It just isn't as tolerant of varying atmospheric conditions as many other Catts.
