Cattleya violacea alba Male

I bought it last year and grow it in a saucer with sphagnum.

I don't give rest period and feed it every days with Akerne rain mix at 450µs/cm.

I don't really care of the temperatures, the lower is 13°c at night in winter...

I know it's unconventional, but all my violacea grow very well and are healthy.

I add 2 CFL 200w (2700 and 6400 k) on winter.

I use Akerne rain mix too, it the best orchid fertilizer i have ever used, plants respond very well, plant power food!! 👍

I didn't exspect that violaceas don't mind 13°C. Maybe it's the additional light.

Michael Sinn of Canaima Orchids told out local society that this species could tolerate these types of night temps if the plant is allowed to dry off and warm up during the day.
