Cattleya ( Laelia ) purpurata v. Aco ?

Hello All,

This is something I acquired recently from a local nursery. I'm not sure where they were brought in from, I know they were not grown by the seller, but they are quite nice.

I selected this particular individual out for its flatness and petal width. It did flower a bit crowded on its second inflorescence but I think that was due to its being moved while budding. Hopefully in a few years I can flower it well enough to take in for judging.

The tag says its a Laelia purpurata v. aco but I do not think this is the correct color for that particular variety. Whatever it is it is quite showy and the blooms were 6.25 inches in spread on what looks to be the second flowering for the plant.

Very good shape. Not aco variety, what means dark steel blue, but I love also the lip coloration.
