This is why I prefer the Schombocatts....they are big enough for cattleyas but don't take up the same kind of room. That and they provide a good mix between the color in cattleyas and the shape of a Mymecophilia.

I don't think I have the patience to wait thirteen years for a plant to bloom. Well done for waiting so long, they are really pretty blooms. I like the waviness of the petals.

Nice. A member of my society has used this species in a lot of crosses to get purple flowered Schombocats.
