Cattleya Luminosa
Remake of an old cross between C. dowiana and Laelia (now Cattleya) tenebrosa. The vendor spoke so enthusiastic about this cross, that I bought one plant. But the quite showy flowers don't stand above their parents imo.

The color in the lip almost glows. I think it's very nice.

I like the lip color on this one. I've also been disappointed by this cross in the past. Something similar that rarely disappoints is C. Pacavia.

I also think it is a lovely flower!! But i thought that with Luminosa the petals had to be more orange-maroon-ish? I also got one, never flowered, so very curious how that one will turn out....
