I found this in my notes on schombos -

Fragrant Schomburgkia
Myrmecophila
carinata
humboldtii
lyonsii
undulata

Schomburgkia
superbiens
thomasoniana
tibicinis

Just thought I'd add that to this thread

I have a Schomburgkia thomsoniana that was bought some 7 years ago...the plant has been divided 2 and simply takes up major space....psuedobulbs are plump..but never a hint of spiking.Plant is in a growing room with high light and essentially temp. controlled in the mid 70's range...with a drop to low 60's at night.
Plant is essentially bare rooted in welldrained containers.
Water is frequent and fert.is applied consistent with other plants...
The plant is very content but is stubborn....what needs to be done to kick start the spiking process?

Hi dizz,

I'll see if I can get any insight at our meeting about what you can do to kick start your guys. You might have to move down to Florida where I know they like the sun and heat.

OK dizz, this is what I found out for you but Paul said he already had received an email and picture from you. You beat me to the info. Anyway, after talking to him you should think about mounting your shombo and water it frequently. They love full sun so give it as much as you can. Also it might be your fertilization. From what I gather treat it like a Catt. They seem to like being mounted more than potted. Let the roots dry before watering. Wish I could give you more info.

Here's my new guys

Smbc Memoria Louise Fuchs 'Weesie' AM/AOS x self
Myrmeciphilia Albopupurea species Grand Cayman
Schom Splendida 'Cocoa' x Epl Cordigerium 'Paradise'
Mcp Brysiana 'Hackler' CBE/SFOS x self

I will be mounting some or all on cork slabs next week.

Lorraine

Hi Dorothy,

Nope nobody in bloom . I'll take of them next week when I mount them and for sure when I get my first bloom. I forgot to ask Paul Storm how long till blooming but min. next year. Going to our show and sale tomorrow and hope to find some more. You never know till you look real hard. Now I know what to look for.

If anybody ever gets to hear a presentation by Paul you will love it.
