Default Mis-labelled Catt. in bloom

I have had this plant for several years as a seedling. The tag says Lc. Lucky Charms 'SVO' x Lc. Mark Jones 'SVO' HCC/AOS. So I was very excited to have my first very spotted Cattleya blooms developing. This should have produced a yellow or maybe pink bloom with lots of burgundy spots.

But this is what I got instead

It has grown on me and I do like it once I could get used to what I got instead of what I expected. The fragrance is quite nice too and blooms about 4 inches wide.

Has anyone seen anything like it? I would really like to know its name. I have e-mailed Clouds (where it came from) and am hoping they can help. But I figured if there are any possible ideas I could suggest to them, it might make it easier. I don't like to just guess at the name and want Clouds to confirm any possibilities I might come up with.

It doesn't seem quite as shiny in person as the pictures show, even tho I didn't use a flash to photograph it.

That was my thought. Idon't think it is Chocolate Drop but could have it as a parent. The ones I have seen of Chocolate Drop have many multiple flowers, in a sheath and very shiny and a bit smaller than mine. This was two buds, two times and no sheath either time. Mine is not really quite as shiny as the photo implies. also these leaves are large broad and floppy and Choc drop are narrower. From the pics in orchid Wiz anyways. Any more tips are appreciated

Well, maybe when I look again at Chocolate Drop 'Kodama' it is very much like it. Not so much the other cultivars.

It's tough to guess the name based on how it looks. Nowadays there are so many hybrids have similar appearances. Sorry.

It has a very unusual lip For a catt. Pretty maroon ? Color. Sort of a terra cotta Or red lava color. Very nice!

Yes, I agree, and I don't believe in just guessing. If it is entered for judging or you share a piece, a wrong guess could have undesirable consequences.

No, I am just hoping to have some ideas to suggest to Warren at Cloud's to help him search what he sold back when it was purchased in 2011. and for my own interest with Orchid Wiz I like to see what is in the lineage. Oh well, at least it is a pretty NOID

It does have some of the Chocolate Drop look but the bloom size is larger and much less shiny. It's a hard colour to describe also but terra cotta or red lava sound good
