It is Laelia season
I know, officially they belong in another genus now. If the taxonomists had moved them there directly, I might have accepted it, but they had to place them in Sophronitis first! That's where they lost me.
First up a Laelia tenebrosa. It is not my plant, it belongs to my co-tenant Kyle.
Second comes one of my Laelia purpurata ('Carmencita' x self). It is not the biggest flower, but it has a nice dark lip.
Lastly, two photos of Kyle's Laelia purpurata 'Calaidoscope', which has enormous flowers.

The green SC is old, it is either 50 or 60 pct. Got it from Charley's, and used it for my Paph shade tables.

All three are gorgeous, but I think your purpurata is the prettiest!

I have a thing for semi-albas. However, this purpurata is not an alba, petals and sepals are a light pastel color pink. I am keeping it anyway, as it is nice.
