Bl Morning Glory X Bc Makai
First bloom and I love it. A beautiful fragrance in the morning when I open the door to my plant room. The blooms on the right side of the plant are so different from the ones on the left side that I think I must have got two plants for one!

Gorgeous
I love nodosa hybrids
The orchid that's spotted is Bc. Maikai and the one that has the blush in the lip is Bl Morning Glory .. perhaps you got the parents instead of the cross ..

Dorothy I think you are right. I have a Bl morning Glory in bloom rite now and it does not have any spots in the throat. I also have a C Lulu x Bl Maikai and it has a throat like the Bl Morning glory but with small white spots. I also have a Blc Maikai x B Nodosa it hase not bloomed yet so I can't wait to see it. Jim

This is a great site giving the Ancestory % of some of the common B. nodosa hybrids - Growing Brassavola Orchids in Big Bend, Wisconsin
Jim - Your hybrid is known as Bc. Maidosa = (Bc. Maikai x B. nodosa) and has only been around since 1990 .. fairly new in the scheme of orchid hybrids ...
If you wish to sneak a peak, I found it's photo here - Bc Maidosa pictures from gardens photos on webshots
