Smile New Cattleya from Carter and Holmes

This is LC Purple Cascade 'Beauty of Perfume' HCC/AOS. The smallest/youngest Cattleya I've ever had. Do you think it needs to be reported and if so, how big of a pot or should I let it grow out some more? Also, how long till you think it will be ready to bloom. Thanks everyone!

It certainly doesn't need a larger pot. If the media looks fairly new I would be tempted to leave it. At least until new root growth has started. I prefer not to re-pot until there is new roots just starting. However if it seems to be holding a lot of moisture and looks real old, I would replace the media. I also like a clear pot so I can see how things are in the root zone.

According to the catalog, it is in a 2.5 inch pot and will not be blooming size for 12-18 months. Based on your picture, suggest leaving it alone for the time being. It usually comes in appropriate mix (I have a number of Cats from C&H) and very well packaged. Congrats on your new purchase!
