Laelia grandis Edmundo nr.4
My first flower on this Laelia grandis Edmundo nr. 4, i just call it Eddie! The flower is really frilly and curly with a lovely coloured lip. Not sure how many flowers a grown plant can produce, i have another one in sheat maybe it will give one or two flowers more...

Thanks LovePhals! I bought mine from MSB orchids in Germany, but that's a little to far a away for you, i think, hopefully you can find one closer to home! Or somebody on the board will give a reply! 👍

I'm jealous, it's the one member of that purpurata/tenebrosa/crispa family that I can't get in this country.

I'm sorry to hear that, is it because of customs? That you are not allowed to import it from another country? Or is it just that the orchidgrowers in your country don't have any stock of it?

Just because nobody has imported it. Unfortunately the interest in species is small, everyone wants hybrids which are very easy to get. If you want species, you have to do it by flask, which is risky and a bit complicated from overseas.
