No flowers yet for my Healthy Bc Little Stars ?

I have a ton of new growths, like maybe 5-8 that haven't bloomed yet, and although they seem to be new, I'm concerned they're not blooming. Is it normal for BCs to bloom at regular times as opposed to just as one stalk decides it is ready? Like I can see about 4 or 5 sheaths barely started, but I have had very large cattleyas before that never bloomed ;( I remember something about nodosa being seasonal in the back of my head? But not sure... Do you think it's ready for a larger pot (or wait till it's done blooming)? It's almost totally locked all of the hydroton solid... like no loose pebbles at all, it gobbles all the water I can throw at it, it seems.

IMO Your plant is not blooming because the sheaths dont look like they are fully formed. They must be fully formed (at least in my experience) for a nodosa hybrid to bloom. I think you just have to wait a bit and see what happens when they mature!! As for repotting, I dont know anything about S/H so I dont know if having the media lock up is a bad thing, but I dont repot my nodosa hybrids until the there is actually a growth over the side of the pot and it is about to start throwing roots. Until that happens, I leave 'em alone. Nodosas and their hybrids usually flower in the mid winter, mid summer or both. Sometimes they go whenever they feel like it!! Your plant looks happy and healthy, so I would bet you will be rewarded with new spikes in a few weeks, maybe flowers in a few months. I hope this helps!!
